What Happens When You Finally Bet on Yourself!

Captured by: Eve Gagne

Hey friend, welcome back to The Glow Up Year! I'm Meg—an actress, model, and your go-to guide for what it really takes to turn big dreams into reality. From the outside, things are moving fast—but if you've been following this blog, you know that every win has come from years of hustle, healing, and showing up for myself in ways that aren’t always glamorous but are always real.

Let’s Catch Up

The last time I wrote, I had just submitted to three modeling agencies. Since then? I signed with not one but two of them. Yep, it happened. And I'm still waiting to hear back from the third. Cue the confetti!

Agency A

Agency A’s meeting was a dream—professional, clear, and affirming. We went over expectations, communication styles, and next steps. Now I’m gathering all my materials so they can build my online profile. There’s something so validating about seeing your name on a roster, like the dream isn’t just yours anymore—it’s shared.

Agency B

Agency B? Whew. That was a whole other ride. The meeting was… let’s just say memorable. Picture this: I’m stuck in an old-fashioned elevator with a cage door and zero instructions. I’m flustered, nervous, and desperately trying not to pee. When I finally make it upstairs, I get the vibe that the agent’s energy is off. He asked questions that felt more interrogative than conversational—like, “Why didn’t you take your career seriously before?” I stayed honest and grounded, sharing that healing from my childhood and prioritizing my mental health had to come first. It wasn’t the polished answer he might’ve expected, but it was real.

And guess what? Two days later, I got the email: they offered to sign me.

I almost forgot—this meeting happened on my birthday. What a surreal gift to myself. And that’s not all I gave myself this year…

I’ve Got NEWS!!!

I’m officially going to Coco Rocha’s Model Camp in June! This was one of my biggest 2025 goals. I booked it. I’m going. We’re talking runway, editorial posing, pro-digitals, and high-fashion magic. I even scheduled a session with a stylist to make sure I feel fly AF when I walk through those doors. I want to show up confident, creative, and ready to absorb everything.

This whole glow-up started with one brave choice: signing up for a model workshop in January that I couldn’t really afford but felt intuitively drawn to. That one decision cracked everything open. Since then, I’ve launched my journey to 10K on TikTok, tripled my following, started building my website, and developed a real rhythm with content creation. And yeah, I’ve been in the gym too—because one of my agents mentioned their roster includes a lot of fitness clients. So we’re leveling up on all fronts.

Are you ready to level up too? Helping actors thrive isn’t just my passion—it’s my coaching work too! Want in?

Your DIY Modeling Portfolio

Captured by: Nicholas Hebert (my husband)

I’ve also started sharing sneak peeks of how I DIY my modeling portfolio. Spoiler: one of my shoots involved turning my bathtub into a milk bath, styling a beauty product I created a fake label for, and recruiting my husband—who has zero photography experience—to shoot it. He had to hold the phone over open water (bless him). It worked. And the photos? Chef’s kiss.

There’s a whole process behind these looks—Pinterest boards, product styling, posing research, and some serious trial and error. But that's the point. I want to prove that you don’t need a huge budget or fancy team to start showing up like a pro.

Your Metamorphosis

The transformation isn’t just physical or professional. It’s deeply personal. I’ve worked through so much grief, self-doubt, and invisible baggage over the past few years. Losing my dad reminded me that life is short and precious, and it pushed me to stop waiting. To start living.

So here’s your reminder: your next breakthrough might be one bold decision away. Whether it’s signing up for a workshop, submitting that application, or just telling yourself you’re worth it—take the leap.
